Perceived Benefits and Barriers to Implementing Occupational Health Recommendations Among Immigrant-Owned Nail Salons in the Greater Philadelphia Region

This study describes our process of engaging our community partner, Vietlead, in our intervention study. We interviewed nail salon owner and worker participants to who participated in the program to share with their insights about potential benefits and barriers to adopting the program in their salons.

Stakeholders’ Perspectives on the Feasibility of Adopting a Healthy Nail Salon Recognition Program in Philadelphia: A Qualitative Study

This study explores for the feasibility of the city of Philadelphia adopting a Healthy Nail Salon Recognition Program that is modeled after the California programs. We interviewed various stakeholders including from staff from city government, community-based organizations, nail salon owners, workers, cosmetology school instructors to learn about their perception of this program and potential barriers to adoption.
